Defines an area within which you can explicitly position child objects, using coordinates that are relative to the Canvas area.

Height Float The suggested height of the control in dp pixels.
HorizontalAlignment Enum The horizontal alignment characteristics applied to the control.
Margin Thickness The outer margin applied to the control when composed in a parent layout.
Rotation Integer The rotation about the Z-axis in degrees.
VerticalAlignment Enum The vertical alignment characteristics applied to the control.
Width Float The suggested width of the control in dp pixels.
IsEnabled Boolean Indicates whether the user can interact with the control.
IsHitTestVisible Boolean Indicates whether the contained area can return true values for hit testing.
IsVisible Boolean Indicates whether the control should be visible.
Opacity Float A value between 0 and 1.0 indicating the opacity factor.

Attached Properties

Every child element within the Canvas will have a set of attached properties connected to them.

Canvas.Left Float The distance between the left side of an object and its parent Canvas.
Canvas.Top Float The distance between the top of an element and its parent Canvas.

Events

Event Description
Loaded Occurs when the element is laid out, rendered, and ready for interaction.
Unloaded Occurs when the element is no longer rendered on the screen.
